It seems as though you sent this email back to me instead of to 'Dave'! Don't you think that it would be a good idea to have somone bilingual dealing with messages from a bilingual website? This is common sense to me. The question was NOT:

"what we (Labour) think about using the Welsh Language in Wales or something like that"

It asked, what is your election policy in the coming general election on ways of safeguarding the Welsh language, and would you support a call for a new Welsh language act!

Your email shows Labour's total lack of respect for the Welsh language.

And by the way, there is no need to use more than one '!' at a time in any language!

I do apologise, as you say I did send the e-mail to you by mistake. I cannot, unfortunately, speak Welsh and regret the fact that I did not take more time to learn my own language but hope to rectify this at some point.

We have quite a few bilingual people within the Welsh Labour Party but, unfortunately, I open the e-mails from the general e-mail and as already stated cannot speak Welsh. Therefore, I had to ask someone in the office who is bilingual.

Once again I apologise for this error and will send it to the Policy Officer as your views are very important to us, hence, the reason for sending this to our Policy Officer for his attention.
