I agree actually. We have had a LOT of trouble from a hacker...
Meantime, there are two distinct groups of project supporters, old and new. I'm one of the younger ones, and most of the work has been totally away from the Internet. Heads buried in manuscripts, bodies on sites...as I'm sure you can imagine.
The subject of the books is a somewhat vexed one. I'm an ex-journalist... and I agree with your comments about the books - but they have been produced under massive pressure. In future, I hope to edit new material.
All I can suggest is that the information is dynamite...
We have several sites of interest under active investigation and these are the main focus for our work. We get no money except from donations and the Welsh academics (sorry, English academics in Welsh universities) are very concerned that we'll make them look stupid... Hence their hostility.
Also bear in mind that through the 1980s Alan and Baram were subjected to attack by very powerful business interests... seeking to turn much of Glamorgan into an open cast mining operation. Local supporters were harassed, journalists threatened, TV reporters told they'd lose their jobs if they reported favourably on our work and much, much more... I don't think many people would have kept going.
Happily, we're still here and growing and I think our message is getting out there and we've had some good publicity in the Welsh press at last... What we DO need are people, like you, to make constructive comments and, where appropriate, criticism...
